Purity Test Kit

Alex Seot

Runs Rice Purity Test Kit. Built the site, decided what goes on it, and is the person answerable when something published here turns out to be wrong.

What is actually his work

Two things on this site are first-hand rather than explanation. The reconciliation of the question list — four published copies fetched, compared item by item, the six disagreements written up with the reasoning for each choice. And the check of what other purity test sites load into your browser, run against named domains on a stated date, including the correction that came back pointing at this site.

No qualification is claimed here beyond that. He is not a historian of the test, a psychometrician or a researcher; the pages that would need one say what they do not know instead of borrowing authority. How this site is made sets out the whole process, including where AI assistance is used and where it is not allowed to decide anything.

  • Where your answers go on a purity test — Four places a checkbox quiz can leak your answers, what we found in the page source of two rival sites on 3 September 2026, and how to check any of them yourself.
  • Where the Rice Purity Test came from — The Rice University origin traced to two dated items in Rice's own archive — a ten-question survey in 1924 and a 150-question parody test in 1988 — plus the move to the browser and the TikTok revival.

For journalists and wiki editors

The dated sources, the six disagreements between live copies of the question list and blanket permission to quote any of it are collected on the press and citation page.
