Is 24 a good score?

There is no good or bad Rice Purity Test score. 24 means 76 of the 100 items were checked and 24 were left unchecked: the test opens at 100 and removes a point for each item you have done, so the number counts situations you have been in, not merit. Two people on 24 can have checked completely different items.

24 is reachable on all seven lists here, but it costs a different amount of life on each: 76 ticks on a hundred-item list like the Rice Purity Test, and 38 on a fifty-item one like the College Purity Test, where every tick costs two points. Same number, half the statements.

Is 24 a bad Rice Purity Test score?

No, and not because 24 is a comfortable number — because “bad” is not something this scale measures. It counts how many of 100 statements you have done, one point each, with the heaviest item on the sheet worth exactly what holding hands is worth. 24 means 76 statements applied to you and 24 did not. That is the entire claim it makes.

What it cannot tell you is which 76. Two people on 24 can have ticked entirely different statements — the score is a count, so it holds the number and drops the rest. If you are comparing yourself to someone, the comparison is only meaningful against a score from the same 100-statement list, and even then it compares two counts, not two lives.
